Mcebisi Sidlai is a younger Film and Video Student at the Cape Peninsula University Of Technology. I refer to myself as writer/storyteller, I write mostly about real life issues that affects and challenges our daily lives and our well being. I am an aspiring Documentary filmmaker that aims to tell authentic stories, either to bring awareness, empower, motivate or inspire others. I have worked as an Intern for the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation study SALUS as a Documentary storytelling filmmaker which is where my love for authentic story telling grew stronger and stronger.
This film aims to motivate people in our societies to go out there and seek knowledge about HIV. Calls for department of health to train their clinicians, councillors to effectively communicate knowledge when one has came for HIV test whether tested positive or negative. also calls for the department of education to upgrade their Life Orientation curriculum to be more educational about HIV more specially about Biomedical information. Discrimination, Stigma, Fear of Rejection caused by the lack of knowledge is killing my people!!
