Proposal:
The conceptual aspects of my paintings revolve around greyhound racing. Each painting focuses on the physical and mental stain the greyhound dogs have to endure in the races they have no choice but to compete in. My aim in my work is to envision myself as one of these dogs. I am running towards a finish line, not reach the end but rather to desperately attempt to outrun it. I run as fast as i do not because I am in top physical condition but because I have been given cocaine, the drug causes me to drive myself beyond my limits and I do not tire. I never rest, I never stop running and I know I will not stop running until my legs break. when i am finally unfit to race I am deemed unfit to live. I am a greyhound racing dog. I am who you see in these three paintings.
