Description
This exhibition will showcase a body of work that bounces back from ceramics to prints and photography. The work aims to show the vast progress we have made since opening our doors in 2009 to both established and aspiring artists in and around South Africa. All the works that will be exhibited were produced by participants during the aforementioned workshops and residences.
The work plays around innovative designs and accepted traditions, yet twists the accepted norms in favor the new. The body of work seeks to bring the crowd into a new way of looking at shapes, tonal values and lines, something the Maboneng Precinct patrons would sincerely appreciate.

About
Becomo Art Centre is a non-profit organization based in Kliptown, Soweto. We run art workshops and residences (which are conducted by local and international professional artists) that are geared towards scholars, youth as well as other members of communities, teaching them various art skills, from ceramics, printmaking, photography, sculpturing to drawing and painting. We also strive to inculcate the culture of art collection amongst black professionals and businesses.
