I make abstract art and I paint realist landscapes. I believe my abstract works are landscapes too: immersive environments of repeated shapes, tactile paint application and singing colour relations. My artworks invite their viewer to jump in and experience the resonance of the shapes and colours I have chosen, and hopefully inhabit the landscape they see in front of them to whatever extent they see possible. I must add that these works are definitely influenced by a love of the patterns that I have encountered around me and in the process tried to create something midway between a pattern and a landscape.
