CURATE.A.SPACE

Description

Carol Brown will be curating a group show of mainly, but not exclusively, KZN artists. These are all artists of a high level of professionalism, although many are not yet widely known throughout the country despite having sold works to international collectors. The aim of the exhibition is to expose these artists and their works to a wider national and international audience. Although the show will be curated, at this stage there is no particular theme but all will be in a contemporary framework selected for conceptual and technical excellence. The majority of the works will be 2 dimensional and will include the historic "Images of Human Rights Print Portfolio" of which a few copies are now collectors items. Artists include Jeremy Wafer, Andrew Verster, Jeannette Unite, Mthobisi Maphumulo, Wonder Buhle Mbambo, Mlamuli Mkhwanazi, Tim Mabaso, Vulindlela Nyoni, Derrick Nxumalo, Wayne Barker.
